Sunday, a day of stillness, quiet and calm…. erm, not it in this house I can tell you!! Little ‘un up at the crack of dawn minus any kind of ‘inside’ voice, cat whining to be let in after prowling the streets all night and husband making wincing noises every time he moves due to sore back. Remedy? Banana pancakes, yum! Although the promise of this sends my son into a frenzy as though he has never been fed, ever! I saw a cartoon recently that came back to my mind as I was trying to make the pancakes with the ‘help’ of my four year old… you’ll understand if you have children! Its here on the ‘A Spectacled Owl‘ blog, it’ll make you smile.
Anyway, moving on, the pancakes were lovely, courtesy of the good old Hairy Bikers, yummy!
Now this got me thinking about Jack Johnson and his fantastic song…Banana Pancakes, what a tune. Its perfect to chill out to (in fact the whole album is lovely – In Between Dreams). Then I thought about music and its effect on the mood (you can see how my mind works..). So I found a lovely site, Body and Soul, in which Eloise King writes a lovely piece on how music lifts your mood.
Right, now time to take the husband, the dog and the Little ‘un out.. and its only 10.30am, Yawn!

A little peace in a world of noise…
