Last night I had a bath.. yes, I know, not exactly newsworthy, but I haven’t treated myself to a bath for such a long time, favouring showers for ease and convenience. I had forgotten how totally relaxing a bath is, just wallowing away easing your muscles, calming your mind, and…er nearly falling asleep.. not so good! Anyway as you probably already know taking a bath is a perfect way to turn a little (or big!) room in your house into a sanctuary, even for a short while.
My sister introduced me to a fabulous blog called Crunchy Betty, you must check it out, it is full of fantastic recipes for skincare that you can make at home or buy (if you just don’t have the time or inclination, but want to ‘do it naturally’). Anyway, one of her articles is all about ‘relaxing and rejuvenating bath times‘ and provides five fabulous ways to make your bath time a heavenly experience.
Well, my promise of doing an exercise DVD the other day didn’t work out so well… I’ve realised how impractical they are when you have a four year old constantly demanding food and attention. So today, we are going out with the dog for a good long walk and that’ll have to do until tomorrow when hubby is here all day and I can go out for a run! He’s back at school on Tuesday (yay!), so between massages (giving them, not having them!) I should be able to start my ‘Get off my lazy butt’ routine with a vengeance!! Hopefully!
By the way, there is a great website for home exercising if you don’t have any DVD’s, or you find yours a bit boring its www.instructorlive.com. You can either take part in a live exercise class or check out their archives for a routine that better suits the time of the day you have available. I use it and its really good, I particularly like the Pilates classes. You can get a months free trial too! Go for it!
Happy Saturday!
